I've already posted about 3D games available for the LG Optimus V, but which games are best overall? Here I'll review some of my favorite apps available for the phone.
Angry Birds
Of course. The insanely popular bird-flinging physics based game couldn't be absent from this list. Why? Because everyone has it. Why not? This game runs on the Optimus V pretty well, although you might experience significantly laggy gameplay in the later levels.
Radiant HD
This game is great. It's a modern take on Space Invaders, and it's a very addictive arcade shooter. Not only that, it's also a great looking game in its own right.
Replica Island
This is a 2D platformer starring the famous Andy the Android. You fly and jump through tons of levels while uncovering the game's story by recovering memory logs.

Wifi Tethering (Hotspot) with LG Optimus V
The LG Optimus V from Virgin Mobile has the capability to tether wirelessly and share a 3G connection with any WiFi enabled device, as it is a Froyo 2.2 device. This article will lead you through the steps necessary to do so.
As a disclaimer, I have to say that 3G tethering is against Virgin Mobile's Terms of Service. I can't advocate the violation of any binding agreements, but I'll be providing these techniques for educational purposes.
First of all, you need to check your Android version. You can do this under Settings > About Phone > Android Version. If you're running Android 2.2.1, your phone is able to use hotspot tethering. HOWEVER, if you're running Android 2.2.2 or later, wifi tethering has been blocked outright. Don't worry if you're one of these people - skip down to the bottom of this article to find the section "Tethering in 2.2.2+".

Before reading on, make sure you've set up your phone to allow installation of apps from unknown sources. Go to Settings > Application Settings and make sure "Unknown Sources" is checked.
